Debapratim Dasgupta, who is also known as Taju and is also a well-known scriptwriter for television, is set to make his second film. The film is titled Ishwar and its story revolves around a cemetery guard.

When asked about the movie, Taju said, “The guard, Ishwar, is under the impression that humans sleep in their graves, tired of life’s rat race. So, he doesn’t allow anyone to make noise at the burial ground. He even sings a lullaby at a child’s grave. This man eventually gets married and proves to be a disappointment for his wife. Their relationship starts souring and Ishwar realizes that life is a celebration of death.”
Ishwar has its music composed by Prasen and Rudnranil Chowdhury while artists Jojo, Sushwati Mallick, and Rupankar have lent their voices to the songs in the film.
Manas Ganguly is the director of photography, while, the script, screenplay, and direction are done by Taju himself. Ishwar will start its shooting by the end of January.
