Kedarnath starring Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput has been fighting legal battles since its announcement. Ever since the announcement of Sara Ali Khan’s next project Simmba, speculations were going around whether Kedarnath will be marked as her debut film or not.

Director Abhishek Kapoor on Tuesday (May 8) announced the release date of romantic drama Kedarnath, which will now be Sara Ali Khan’s debut film.

Abhishek Kapoor shared the poster of the film showing Lord Shiva, and a silhouette of Sushant kissing Sara’s forehead. The release date of the film is 30 November 2018. His tweet reads, “We clean up pretty nice. November 30 it is. Save the date everyone. Jai Bholenath.”

Earlier, reports suggested that Kedarnath was likely to release in mid-January but all the speculations have now been put to rest.
Kedarnath is a love story set in the backdrop of flash floods that wrecked the temple town in June 2013.

The first schedule of the film has already been completed in the mountain regions of Uttarakhand. The second schedule will resume later this month in Mumbai.
According to reports in Pinkvilla, Sushant and Sara shot for some underwater sequences at the specially constructed facility at Khopoli, on the outskirts of Mumbai.
Abhishek Kapoor is now planning to produce the film under his banner Guy In The Sky Pictures.
