Sanket Gaonkar walks away with ‘Dance India Dance 6′ trophy

The young man from the Northern Karnataka, Sanket Gaonkar, has won the Dance India Dance Season 6 title trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 5 lakh.

This season was judged by Mudassar Khan, Marzi Pestonji and Mini Pradhan, while Mithun Chakraborty was the maha-guru.

The grand finale of the show had spectacular performances and a glittering ceremony followed. Sanket is on cloud nine as, after the event,  he said the entire team of the show, including grandmaster Mithun Chakraborty, was very supportive.

He said that everybody encouraged him at every step and he has learned a lot during the show. He said he has made some special bonds during his journey that he is going to cherish for a lifetime.

 

The finale was an entertaining affair with Sunil Grover making the viewers crack up. There were performances from Salman Yusuff Khan, Mohena Singh and Sanam Johar. The host of the show Amruta Khanvilkar gave a marvelous dance performance on Laila Main Laila. The finalists Nainika Anasuru, Shivam Pathak, Piyush Gurbhele danced their hearts out in the finale.
