Also scheduled to appear on Monday are comedian Jaspreet Singh and YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani. The producers of India’s Got Latent, Tushar Poojari and Saurabh Bothra, will also have to appear for questioning.

The controversy erupted after Allahbadia made offensive comments during his appearance on India’s Got Latent, which sparked outrage and drew criticism from various quarters. In response to the backlash, Allahbadia issued a public apology, acknowledging that his comments about parents were both insensitive and disrespectful.

In a post shared on social media platform X, he expressed regret for his remarks and emphasized his commitment to cooperating with the authorities.

“I will follow due process and be available to all agencies. My remark about parents was insensitive and disrespectful. It is my moral responsibility to do better, and I am genuinely sorry,” Allahbadia wrote.

Despite his apology, the situation has escalated further, with the YouTuber revealing that he has received numerous death threats. “I’m watching death threats pour in from people saying that they want to kill me and hurt my family. People have invaded my mother’s clinic posing as patients. I’m feeling scared and I don’t know what to do. But I’m not running away. I have full faith in the police and the judicial system of India,” he added.

In addition to the NCW investigation, Allahbadia has also taken legal action in response to the multiple FIRs filed against him across India over the remarks. On Friday, he approached the Supreme Court, seeking to consolidate the FIRs into a single case.

His senior advocate, Abhinav Chandrachud, requested an urgent hearing before a bench led by Chief Justice of India, Sanjiv Khanna. Chandrachud informed the court that multiple FIRs had been filed against Allahbadia, and that he had been summoned by the Assam Police on Friday.

CJI Khanna clarified that the court does not allow oral mentions for urgent hearings and will schedule the case for a formal hearing.
