Superstar Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai is on a phenomenal run and is still going strong at the box office as the film has earned more than Rs 333 crore in its five-week run. But will it cross Aamir Khan’s PK‘s domestic box office collection?

Tiger Zinda Hai was released on December 22, 2017 and ever since its release the film has shattered all box office records and has established as one of the highest grossing films of all time by earning a total of Rs.333.58 crore in its five-week run.

But Salman’s film is still one goal short of completing its phenomenal run at the box office by surpassing the box office collection of Aamir’s PK.

PK, which was released in 2014, collected an approx figure of Rs 340.50 crore at the box office in its six-week run and emerged as the highest grossing Bollywood film at that time. But in the last three years, with the release of films like Baahubali and Dangal, PK certainly dropped down in the list of Bollywood’s highest grosser.

TZH needs to earn an additional Rs 8 crores at the box office to beat PK‘s lifetime collections. But is it possible?

Well, Salman’s latest action-adventure flick enjoyed quite an exceptional run at the box office with no major competition in the five weeks but things are going to change for Ali Abbas Zafar’s Christmas offering as one of the most awaited films Padmaavat is all set to release on January 25.

With Padmaavat releasing in the Republic Day weekend, the film is set to face its biggest competition till date. Tiger Zinda Hai is proceeding to the sixth week and if the film performs steadily at the box office then probably the scenario of the film surpassing Aamir’s PK‘s collection can come to reality. But that’s all a scenario as fans are eagerly waiting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus to arrive.

Tiger Zinda Hai‘s sixth week is crucial for the film in order to carve its name in the top three highest grossing films of all time behind Baahubali 2 and Dangal.

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Tiger Zinda Hai had Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif reprise their roles from the previous installment (Ek Tha Tiger), and was released on December 22, 2017.
