Amid India’s #MeToo movement, women in the Hindi film industry have openly called out their harassers. Recently, filmmaker Sajid Khan was also accused of sexual harassment by multiple women.

Now actor Dia Mirza has called him out for his obnoxious attitude.

During an interview with India Today, Dia, who has worked with the director in Heyy Babyy, spoke about his behaviour on the sets.

“I agree that Sajid was obnoxious, extremely sexist and ridiculous. Even for me, the details of these accounts are beyond shocking. I have personally always have had a radar for such people. I have never invested in a relationship with such people even in the workplace,” she said.

The 36-year-old actress went on to add that the accusation against Sajid, however, is shocking.

“We often brush off certain kind of behaviour. But I wouldn’t have imagined that Sajid could be capable of doing this to a woman. I completely understand the shock people are feeling right now, but it would be unfair to say that the names that are coming out is shocking,” Dia added.

Earlier Bipasha Basu, who was part of Sajid Khan’s Humshakals in 2014, revealed that he “was pretty rude to all girls” on the film sets. The actress took to Twitter and posted a few tweets backing up the allegations against the filmmaker.

“I am glad that women are speaking up about the atrocities of these men with power and clout… but nothing of that sort happened with me…it was just his general attitude toward women that would disturb me on set – he cracked lewd jokes openly and was pretty rude to all girls,” the tweet read.

Model-actor Saloni Chopra levelled allegations against Khan and shared her story on social media. Actor Rachel White also spoke about her trauma in a series of tweets after retweeting Saloni Chopra’s post.

Meanwhile, Sajid Khan has stepped down as a director for his forthcoming film Housefull 4.
