Actress Richa Chadha received a heartwarming letter from a fan, that made her day. The fan called her ‘inspiring’ for the challenging roles she has opted for in her career.
The actress took to Twitter to share the letter, which read: “I have been a fan of yours and your body of work for a long time. You have chosen to etch and pave a way for yourself in the world of films on your own rules. This truly is inspiring for those who watch your films and take away the strength of characters you portray. I try and see every film that you are a part of just to see the role you essay on screen.”

Appreciating the gesture, Richa posted an equally warm message for the fan, she wrote, “This made me teary! Kainat, thank you so so much for your generous praise. Have always said that genuine appreciation from a fan is > (bigger than) any awards I have won/may win in the future! I love you.”

She is known for portraying strong characters and has been lauded for her work in Daasdev, a Sudhir Mishra’s interpretation of the film with a modern twist. Richa plays Paro in the film, unlike the original character who is depicted as docile, Richa’s Paro is feisty, unabashed and fights for exactly what she wants.

Richa Chadha has played strong female characters since her first film, Oye Lucky Lucky Oye. She is currently shooting for Anubhav Sinha’s Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai and will soon begin work on Shakeela, a biopic on the Malayalam adult film actress directed by Indrajit Lankesh.
