Find out which place Shah Rukh Khan dreamed of visiting with his father
Actor Shah Rukh Khan once shared that he never visited Kashmir because his late father had asked him not to go there without him.
Actor Ranveer Singh is being widely praised for his performance in Padmaavat. The role of Alauddin Khilji is menacing, ambitious and charismatic, which Ranveer has done full justice to. This is perhaps his best performance to date and the interesting element here is that fans and critics worldwide are in complete awe of this villain Khilji.
The actor is overjoyed after receiving a letter of appreciation from megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Ranveer posted a picture of the flowers and letter sent by Amitabh and wrote, “Mujhe mera award mil gaya @SrBachchan.”

In an interview, Ranveer confessed that he’s inspired by Big B. “I am a Hindi film fan first, then an actor. And if you are a Hindi film fan, you are an Amitabh Bachchan fan.”
When Ranveer was asked about his role in the film, he said, “I will be honest — when I was offered Padmaavat, most people were of the opinion that a hero should not play the anti-hero.But I believed otherwise. I saw Khilji as a challenge for me, as an actor. And I wanted to take the challenge up. I went with the vision of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and my instinct of what I could achieve with Khilji.”
He also talked about his preparation for the film, “I took 21 days and locked myself up in my Gurgaon house. I was completely isolated. I kind of isolated myself, marinated into the character because I can’t relate to Alaudin Khilji, I can’t relate to that level of manipulation, greed, and ambition. I had to tap into dark experiences but his worldview is not something I can relate to also.”
His hard work paid off really well as the film is doing really well at the box office. The film has already entered the Rs. 100-crore club.
