Actor Ranveer Singh, who has been a busy bee shooting for the last schedule of ‘Padmavati’ lately, took out time to oblige his fans and colleagues who appreciated the trailer of his upcoming film. The trailer, which released on Monday (October 9) has got tremendous response.
Ranveer expressed gratitude towards his fans for the trailer’s success. He also assured everyone that his historical drama won’t disappoint them. The humble actor he is, Ranveer praised Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his commitment towards the project and also pointed out the sacrifices made by the ‘genuis’ director.

Ranveer, who will step into the shoes of an antagonist, is grateful to his director, whom he thinks of as his guru.

The Gunday actor will be seen essaying the role of the Mughal Saltanat emperor, Alauddin Khilji, in the film. His character will wage a war on the Rajput kingdom ruled under King Maharaja Rawal Ratan Singh (played by Shahid Kapoor). The film also features Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmavati in the titular role of a fierce and elegant queen.
Ranveer has already impressed everyone without a single dialogue in the trailer. From his menacing looks to his charismatic entrances the actor will surely be one of the most loved villains of B-town.
With just the trailer of the film being released, Padmavati has become a massive attraction for its first look posters, the background music, traditional avatars of the actors and Bhansali’s direction.
