After all the controversies and protest against Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat, the film finally released last week and is now receiving a positive response from the audience.
Bollywood star and lead actor in the film Ranveer Singh, on a high after recording his biggest hit, says box office numbers are a validation for him as an entertainer.

His performance as antagonist Alauddin Khilji has won many hearts. It seems certain that he will sweep all the awards for his dark, intense, and evil performance. But all Ranveer feels at the moment is a relief after the audience has accepted the film.

He said, “As an entertainer, box office numbers are a validation that I am being able to entertain audiences. Khilji was one of my toughest roles. Furthermore, the process of creating Khilji has been extremely rewarding. So, this success is incredibly special.”

“I’m thankful to Sanjay Leela Bhansali for giving me a film and a character that will always be remembered and cherished,” he added.
The film is on its way of touching the Rs 200-crore mark, as till now it has collected Rs. 192.5 crore.
