Riddhima Kapoor defends brother Ranbir against misogyny claims
Riddhima Kapoor responds to online misogyny claims, defending her brother Ranbir and Alia's relationship, emphasizing their happiness and strong bond.
After wrapping up Gully Boy, Alia Bhatt seems to have been focusing on her upcoming film Raazi. Directed by Meghna Gulzar the film is a spy thriller based on the real-life story of a Kashmiri girl Sehmat Khan (name changed for the novel the film is based on). The trailer for the film has already had the audience hooked and the film definitely looks promising.

Alia Bhatt plays Sehmat Khan and her real-life mother Soni Razdan joins her in the film as her reel mother. Soni Razdan took to Twitter to praise the cast of Raazi with a fresh new poster. The tweet read, “The fabric of RAAZI is made up of the performances of these wonderful actors and woven into a stunning tapestry.”

To this, Alia replied in the sweetest way possible. The actress also posted a message for her mother and co-actor which read, ‘You’re the best actor mommy’.

Raazi is based on a novel written by Harinder Sikka, a former Indian Navy officer. The novel titled Calling Sehmat is based on the story of the Kashmiri woman who married a Pakistani officer during the 1971 India-Pakistan war.
