The India’s Got Latent controversy erupted after Ranveer Allahbadia made an inappropriate remark on the show, sparking public outrage and multiple FIRs.
Punjab Police on Tuesday arrested Bollywood actress Rakhi Sawant following a case that was filed against her for making derogatory remarks against sage Valmiki.
A local court in Ludhiana had issued an arrest warrant against her for the remark. The warrant was issued on March 9 on the basis of a complaint filed against her for hurting religious sentiments of the Valmiki community with her comments on a TV programme.

Sawant had failed to appear before the court during the hearing held on March 9 despite the court issuing her repeated summons.
