‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ re-release: The epic comeback you can’t miss!
'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' is returning to theatres, giving fans a chance to relive the magic of this iconic romantic drama starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone.
Chhapaak is set to release on 10 January 2020.
After Deepika Padukone’s citizen rights issue resurfaced this election again and there were talks that she can’t cast vote, the actor shut down all rumours and fulfilled her responsibility as an Indian citizen by exercising her democratic right.
The Padmaavat actor took to Instagram to share, “Never has there been any doubt in my mind about who I am or where I’m from.So for those of you confused on my behalf…please don’t be! Jai Hind!🙏🏽 #proudtobeanindian #govote”, putting all circulations to rest.

Padukone, daughter of former badminton champion Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, when her father was on a tour there. Though she grew up in Bengaluru and holds an Indian passport, the actor’s nationality has been a constant topic of discussion, and comes up most usually around the elections time.

In the fourth phase of 2019 Lok Sabha elections, six seats in Mumbai went to polls. Bollywood celebrities, who are mostly based in Mumbai, turned out in huge numbers to cast votes.
Many also shared pictures, video messages after having cast their vote, thereby encouraging fans to do their bit.
On the work front, Padukone is busy with Meghna Gulzar’s directorial Chhapaak, starring in the lead alongside Vikrant Massey.
The film which revolves around the journey of Laxmi Agarwal, an acid attack survivor and campaigner, went on floors this February and was mostly shot in Delhi. The Delhi schedule wrapped a couple of weeks ago.
Chhapaak is set to release on 10 January 2020.
