TV actor Hina Khan has been riding high on the success of her glamorous and much-appreciated looks at the Cannes 2019. Priyanka Chopra who also made her Cannes debut as Chopard’s representative, the Swiss luxury watches and jewellery brand, has appreciated Khan for her achievements.
The Quantico star said that she was proud of the achievements of the TV star who is known for shows like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Kasautii Zindagii Kay.
Priyanka even called Hina over for a party and posed for a photograph depicting ‘desi girl power’ at the gala.

Hina had earlier shared a picture with Priyanka along with a message that thanked the star for being by her side at the Cannes, introducing her to people she wouldn’t have met and appreciating the TV actor for her work and risky choices.
Signing off, she also added, “Your deliberate attempt to lift up people around you not for their backgrounds but their talent is one of a kind.
You are a walking inspiration!”
After Hina thanked Priyanka, calling her a “walking inspiration”, the Quantico star returned the gesture with a sweet message.
“Thank you for the kind words Hina. Was so good to meet you and spend time with you. Proud of what you have achieved and it was my pleasure to highlight the talent the Indian industry possesses in anyway that I could. Wishing you all the luck in the world, onward and upwards! Girls for girls,” Priyanka wrote on Hina’s Instagram post.
Hina Khan’s Cannes debut has been much talked about and the celebrity has been the centre of media attention more so after Jitesh Pillai, editor of the Filmfare, posted a picture of Hina Khan on his Instagram story and wrote: “Cannes has suddenly become chandivali studios kya?”
The comment drew the ire of a host of TV and film fraternity members who supported Hina. Pillai later apologized and Khan accepted it in good humour.
Hina Khan’s debut film, Lines‘ first look was revealed at the Cannes Film Festival. The film is helmed by Hussain Khan, written by Kunwar Shakti Singh and Rahat Kazmi.
Lines also stars Farida Jalaal and Rishi Bhutani (who is playing a Pakistani guy), who eventually falls for Hina (who is essaying the role of an Indian Muslim girl), in pivotal roles.
