Though the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared ‘Padmavat’ with a U/A certificate and suggested few modifications in the film, but it seems that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s problems are not ending yet.
After Rajasthan’s Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje stated that the film will not be released in Rajasthan as they don’t want people’s sentiments to get hurt, while Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, called the film controversial and said though he respected art, when people’s sentiments were involved then such matters should be discussed; the next in the list is Goa which has problem with the release of the film in the state.

The BJP’s state women’s wing demanded the government to ban the screening of the film in the state after the Goa Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s Mahila Morcha’s president Sulakshana Sawant met CM Manohar Parrikar at his official residence.
The Goa Police have also recommended to the government to “avoid” the screening of “Padmavat” during peak tourist season due to its staff being engaged in security arrangements.
Now after three states considering the release of the movie as a matter of discussion, let’s see where the fate of the movie takes it to and how many controversies are still standing in the movie’s way of success. It needs to be seen if it be able to mark another success at box office for Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions.
