How can anyone forget the contribution of Om Puri to the Indian cinema? Even as Bollywood is still missing him there is big news for the fans of the late actor that they will be able to see him once again on the silver screen.

This will happen through director Sunil C Sinha’s Hindi film ‘Khela Hobe’ which will be released in cinema halls across the country on  February 24.

The film was the last film of Om Puri’s life.

The title of Late Om Puri’s film ‘Khela Hobe’ is inspired by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s election slogan during the West Bengal assembly elections, as this slogan gained national headlines at that time and now a  Hindi film based on this political slogan.

The film is produced by Kumari Manju and the story and dialogues of the film are written by Ravi Kumar.

Mugdha Godse, Manoj Joshi, Rati Agnihotri, Rushad Rana, Rajkumar Kanojia, Sanjay Batra, Sanjay Kumar Sonu, Ratan Mayal, Pankaj Raina will play important roles along with Om Puri in the film ‘Khela Hobe’ under the banner of Theme Arts International and Sunil C Sinha Production.        Shahnawaz Pradhan and  Shefali, Aryan will play the lead role.

Regarding the film, director Sunil C Sinha said on Monday that “Khela Hobe is a drama made of political and social fabric”.

“Om Puri’s character has the image of a community leader and on the other hand there is some humor as well. This film will give his fans an opportunity to see Om Puri on the big screen once again,” he said.

Producer Kumari Manju said, “We are very happy that Khela Hobe is now about to release. The film could not be released even after being prepared for more than two years due to the Corona epidemic. The audience will get to see social drama, political sarcasm as well as entertaining cinema in the film”.

The music of the film has been composed by Sanjeev Chaturvedi, Ajay Keshwani, Rakesh Trivedi, Harsh Raj Harsh. Singers are Amit Mutreja, Arun Yadav and Indrani Rani.
