Nora Fatehi has taken to social media to call out a brand on her Instagram Stories for utilizing a deepfake version of her in one of their promotional advertisements. The brand, yet to respond to the allegations, had been promoting an enticing end-of-season sale.
The post featured an image and a video, both starring a woman who strikingly resembled Nora Fatehi. Dressed in a velvet off-the-shoulder dress, adorned with a stack of gold jewelry on her wrists, the woman in question exuded the same glamour as the renowned actor.
The promotional content offered a 60% + 40% off during the sale, with the accompanying video showcasing the woman enthusiastically endorsing the discounts and announcing the commencement of the sale. What was particularly eerie was her uncanny ability to mimic Nora Fatehi’s voice and mannerisms.

Expressing her shock and disapproval, Nora Fatehi shared the offending post on her Instagram Story along with a stern message, “Shocked! THIS IS NOT ME,” accompanied by a ‘FAKE’ sticker.
Despite the actor’s public denouncement, the brand has yet to remove the controversial advertisement from its platforms. Adding to the mystery, comments have been disabled on all of the brand’s posts.

The revelation comes in the wake of the Rashmika Mandanna deepfake controversy. This sheds light on the prevalence of such deceptive practices in the entertainment industry. Delhi police has recently arrested the culprit of this case.
