Ranbir Kapoor to honor Raj Kapoor’s legacy at IFFI 2024
Ranbir Kapoor will celebrate his grandfather Raj Kapoor's centenary at IFFI 2024 with a special session discussing his cinematic legacy and personal journey.
It is Nargis Dutt’s birth anniversary today. One of the most iconic actors of Hindi film industry, Nargis, born Fatima Rashid, starred in a number of commercially successful and critically acclaimed films, many of which featured her alongside actor Raj Kapoor.
Best known for the role of Radha, it was Nargis’ performance as a woman who struggles to single-handedly raise her sons, that immortalized Mother India and Nargis in cinema. Another role for which she was critically acclaimed for was of a woman with dissociate personality disorder. In Satyen Bose’s Raat Aur Din (1967), Nargis played a married woman with the psychological disorder. For her performance, the actor received a National Film Award for Best Actress.
In 1958, she became the first film actress to be conferred the Padma Shri (fourth highest civilian award) by the Government of India.

Sanjay Dutt also shared an old photograph of his mother, sister and himself on social media with the caption, “Memories never fade! Happy Birthday, Mom ♥”.
