Walter Becker, who worked as a guitarist, bassist and co-writer for rock band Steely Dan, is dead. He was 67.
A post on Becker’s personal website announced the news, but the cause of death was not shared, reports variety.com.

Earlier, Becker had cancelled his appearances at the Classic West and Classic East concerts due to illness.

His bandmate Donald Fagen released a statement describing their long partnership and said: “I intend to keep the music we created together alive as long as I can with the Steely Dan band.”
