Former US President Barack Obama’s eldest daughter, Malia Obama, has stepped into the limelight with her first rock video.
The 20-year-old made her musical debut by appearing in a video “Walking on air”. The video is produced by a Harvard-based indie-rock band called the New Dakotas.
In the video, she can be seen wearing a knit cap and an over-sized sweater, “playing” a harmonica and bopping around the tune.

The music video had garnered 146k views on YouTube at the time of writing.
This is not Malia’s first appearance in showbiz. During her gap year after high school and before Harvard, where both her parents attended law school, she worked as an intern on HBO’s “Girls” and at movie mogul Harvey Weinstein’s company (now closed, bankrupt and sold in the wake of sex-crime charges against him).
Also, earlier in August, Barack Obama and his wife Michelle officially sealed a deal with Netflix to produce television shows and films for the streaming service.
It was Beyonce on Friday, Bruce Springsteen on Thursday and Eminem on Wednesday. US Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign is trotting out celebrities in these final days of the race for the White House in the hope of reaching out to the undecided voters, turnout voters and keep the momentum going.
History will bear that the Joe Biden era goes down as amongst the more restorative, progressive, and successful presidencies, after the tumultuous, unstable, and polarising tenure of Donald Trump.
Eminem and Barack Obama unite at a Detroit rally for the Kamala Harris-Tim Walz campaign, with Obama playfully rapping the opening lines of Eminem's Oscar-winning hit 'Lose Yourself'.
