Diwali is one of the most awaited festivals of the year, and the celebrations held on this day are grand. This Diwali, rather than burning firecrackers, one can sit back at home and watch these movies which feature magnificent Diwali celebrations. So set the most comfortable couch for yourself, grab your popcorn bucket, call in your friends and family and spend some quality time with them watching these films.
1- Mohabbatein
One of the most popular family films, this multi starrer features Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan among other actors. SRK, who plays a cupid to three young couples, calls for their union on the occasion of Diwali and dances to the tunes of “Pairo mein Bandhan” song. The brightly lit up set looks extravagant and appealing.
2- Taare Zameen Par
Remember the young Ishaan from Aamir Khan starrer Taare Zameen Par? Well, it was a blue Diwali for the lad as he was upset about being sent to the hostel the next day. Although, his elder brother and family celebrated the festival, he was all teary eyed while looking at the firecrackers.

3- Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham
The union of Jaya Bachchan with his on screen son Shah Rukh Khan in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham had the backdrop of Diwali celebrations. The family drama was larger than life and the title track itself was full of festivity and celebrations. The movie also featured Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan, Kajol and Kareena Kapoor.

Sonam Kapoor starrer Aisha showcased one of the best Diwali scenes ever. The actress set some high fashion goals in the movie and her outfit in the Diwali scene also made heads turn. Lisa Hayden, who is also a part of the movie looked ecstatic in the scene as she also slipped into beautiful ethnics. This scene was set up in the elite circle of South Delhi.
5- Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai
Tusshar Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor starer Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai featured a Diwali scene which sparked love at first sight. Tushhar stops by to see a salwar kameez clad Kareena celebrating the festival with kids. The actor falls in love with her that very moment.
