The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is organising a Short Video Film Competition on Renewable Energy. The competition will be held in two categories — one for up to 18 years of age and the other between 18-30 years of age.

The entries can cover any aspect of renewable energy including renewables in neighbourhood, far-flung places, islands, hills, plain areas for different uses of renewable energy.

The theme of the short film will be Renewable Energy Powering India, and the competition is open to Indian citizens only.

Terms and conditions for participation:

* It should be an original work, with three minutes as maximum duration

* The film must either be in English or in Hindi( produced, dubbed or subtitled)

* Videos are to be sent through email: vdofilmcompet.mnre@gov.in

* The film can be shot on smartphones, cameras or any other digital recorder. Animation films, mobile films or any other genre produced with telecast quality can participate in the contest.

* The file should be of maximum 500 MB, in MP4 format, HD quality, and submitted directly through attachment or a link to the email id mentioned above before 25th April 2019.

* There is no entry fee and the last date for sending in entries is 25th April 2019.

The prizes  are as follows:

First prize: Rs.2 Lakh
Two second prizes: Rs. 1.5 lakh each
Three third prizes: Rs. 1 lakh each and
Four consolidation prizes: Rs. 50,000 each.
