Mithun Chakraborty faces FIR in Kolkata over provocative remarks
Kolkata Police files FIR against actor and BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty for alleged provocative remarks made at a recent party meeting, citing potential for incitement.
On Monday, an FIR was lodged against Mithun Chakraborty’s son Mhaakshay Chakraborty by a Bhojpuri actress. He was charged with raping the woman, impregnating her and aborting her foetus without her consent. Mithun’s wife Yogeeta Bali was also booked in the case and charged with threatening the victim.
It seems, however, Mahaakshay is not perturbed with the case as he is said to be busy preparing for his wedding. According to reports, he is all set to get hitched with Madalsa Sharma on 7 July.
Speaking to Bombay Times, Madalsa’s mother and yesteryear character actress Sheela Sharma confirmed the news. She said, “It’s happening on July 7. Mimoh met her (the complainant) in 2015 and we are aware of it. In fact, Mimoh had also filed a Non-Cognisable (NC) complaint against her for creating trouble in the past. Why has she resurfaced now, just a few days before the wedding? Why did she wait for so long to take action? Everybody has a past and we know the truth.”

The actress who filed the complaint against Mahaakshay has brought charges of raping on the pretext of marriage.
According to the court order, all this started in 2015. The actress alleged that Mahaakshay spiked her soft drink when he raped her the first time. The woman claimed that she had been sexually abused for four years. When she got pregnant, she added, Mahaakshay gave her medicines to get the foetus aborted. “He did not want any child or interruption in his career at this stage due to which the actor got the pregnancy aborted,” the complaint added.
