Rohit Shetty hints at ‘Lady Singham’ spin-off, calls Meenamma his favorite

The theme for this year’s gala was Camp: Notes on Fashion, inspired by Susan Sontag’s 1964 essay, Notes on Camp. Sontag defined ‘camp’ as “The essence of Camp is its love of the unnatural: of artifice and exaggeration.”
Priyanka Chopra is not new to the red carpet. The Quantico star is known for a distinct and contemporary fashion style and has been celebrated for her looks both in India and abroad.
This year at the Met Gala, the world’s biggest costume party at the New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art held on the first Monday of May every year, Bollywood stars Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone shone for their impressive style statements.
Priyanka who was at the gala with her American singer husband Nick Jonas was dressed in Dior Haute Couture. She was dressed in a grey gown with hues of pink and yellow to complement the look. She also wore a spiked silver crown with frizzled hair giving some competition to Hollywood veteran, Johnny Depp who played the Hatter in the film, Alice in Wonderland(2010). The crown however reminded more of the Red Queen, another character from Through the Looking-Glass.

The Hatter also referred now as the Mad Hatter is a fictional character from Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and its sequel Through the Looking-Glass.
Meanwhile, Nick Jonas was spotted in an all-white suit sporting a thin moustache to add gravitas to the look.Both wore matching silver glittered shoes. Interestingly, both their shoes were heels.
Their look from the gala has become the talk of the town and many are appreciating Priyanka’s distinct and experimental look.
Deepika Padukone played safe with a pink ball gown designed by Zac Posen. She wore her hair, barbie style and accessorized with large silver earrings, headband and a bracelet.
