In the backdrop of saturated landscapes and the Ik Onkar soundtrack, the trailer reveals an important chapter of Indian history, with Akshay Kumar setting the tone of the film with his dialogue;

The Dharma Productions movie is Akshay Kumar’s first collaboration with Karan Johar.

Kesari is Akshay Kumar’s first war film. The Battle of Saragarhi (1879) is a story of 21 Sikh soldiers from the 36 Sikh Regiment who fought against 10,000 Afghans.
The film also marks a first time collaboration between Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra.
