Akshay Kumar votes early in Maharashtra assembly polls
Maharashtra Assembly elections are underway across 288 constituencies, with over 4,000 candidates contesting. Key battles include the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance versus the Congress-led MVA.
On the occasion of India’s 70th Republic Day, the makers of the film have shared a new poster.
After giving a massive hit, Gold, last year, Akshay Kumar is back with Kesari. The upcoming film will show the action star display the courage of Sikh soldiers who bravely fought the Battle of Saragarhi in 1897.
In the film, Akshay will be seen essaying the role of Havildar Ishar Singh, the military commander of 21 Sikh soldiers who fought thousands of Afghani tribesmen.

Earlier, while sharing the first poster on social media on the anniversary of Saragarhi battle, Akshay had said: “On #SaragarhiDay, here’s the first look of #KESARI – our humble tribute to the martyrs of Saragarhi! “Aaj meri pagdi bhi Kesari…Jo bahega mera woh lahu bhi Kesari… Aur mera jawaab bhi Kesari.”
The film stars Parineeti Chopra opposite Akshay Kumar. The film will be produced by Dharma Productions, Cape of Good Films and Reliance Entertainment. It is scheduled to release on 21 March 2019.
