Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan is special for many reasons — be it the numerous awards and honours the film received or Shah Rukh Khan’s portrayal of the lead character. However, KJo believes there is one specific scene he wishes to redirect.

The film narrated the story of an Indian Muslim (SRK) suffering from Asperger’s Syndrome, who embarks on a journey to meet the President of the United States of America in an attempt to change people’s perceptions about Muslims post the 9/11 terror attack.

My Name Is Khan was one of the highest grossing films of 2010 and the highest grossing film overseas in the same year. Johar, the proud filmmaker of the film, says if he had the chance to revisit the film he would have made some changes to make the film look even more authentic.

“When a film is made you do get a chance of evaluation of what is right and what is wrong. Every time I see my films, I feel there is a scope for improvement. There is a hurricane section in the film where I felt in a direction I did not do it well. It was my mistake. So, if I had (the chance to) revisit I could have changed that 15 minutes scene. I am proud of the communication of the film, I am proud of the context of the film. I am proud of Rizwan Khan, played by Shah Rukh Khan and the way he played the character, and the message. I was very proud of it. I am grateful to writer Shibani Bathija.” Karan told the media at the song launch event of Jhakkad Pakad Dance.

On the work front, KJo has jacked up line of films in 2018 and 2019 as his home production Dharma Productions will produce the upcoming films; Drive starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Sushant Singh Rajput, Raazi starring Alia Bhatt, the Hindi version of Saaho starring Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor, Dhadak featuring Janhvi Kapoor in her debut film, Tiger Shroff’s Student of the Year 2, Ranbir Kapoor starrer Brahmastra and the ensemble starrer Kalank.
