The festival of lights, Diwali, was celebrated on Wednesday and as usual Bollywood celebrities rang in the day in style. Several Bollywood A-listers hosted star-studded Diwali parties, starting from Shah Rukh Khan to Karan Johar.
For many, however, it was a quiet affair with near and dear ones. Post the celebrations, many celebs took to their social media accounts to wish their fans.

The Sky is Pink actress Priyanka Chopra, who was in Amsterdam for her bachelorette, flew back to India to celebrate Diwali with family. She posted pictures with mother Madhu Chopra and brother Sidharth Chopra. “Happy Diwali. So good to be home to celebrate with my loved ones. I wish for the world to be bestowed with love, light, and happiness. ” she posted.

Filmmaker Karan Johar performed Lakshmi Puja and celebrated the occasion with close friends and son Yash Johar. The celebrities in attendance were Alia Bhatt, Kiara Advani, Varun Dhawan, Ananya Pandey, and others. Karan Johar’s home banner Dharma Productions shared pictures from the celebrations.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli celebrated their first Diwali together post their wedding. Sharing a photograph, the actress wrote, “Happy Diwali from our home May you all find the light in you this Diwali …. 🕉️”
