Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover’s infamous mid-air brawl was one of the most talked about issues in the country for quite some time. It so happened that they were returning from Australia, after delivering a power packed performance when Kapil started hurling abuses and shoes at the latter, under the influence of liquor. The team split into two after landing in Mumbai. Sunil Grover along with Ali Asgar and Chandan Prabhakar left Kapil’s show. Kapil Sharma tried hard to get Sunil back on the show, but the latter’s absence resulted in the downfall of The Kapil Sharma Show and it was finally pulled off air. However, there are reports of Kapil returning to TV once again with his comedy show.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali seems to be controversy’s favourite child. All his movies run in some or the other trouble, but this time the director received death threats from fringe groups in Rajasthan and Gujarat. His upcoming film Padmavati’s fate is yet not decided and political groups have demanded a ban on the film for portraying Rani Padmini in wrong light.
Deepika Padukone has also been making headlines for her upcoming film Padmavati. Several fringe groups have attacked her verbally for portraying Rani Padmini in the film. She has also been receiving death threats and certain group chiefs even demanded people to cut her head in exchange for big prize money.
Shah Rukh Khan came under the scanner for his villa in Alibaug which is said to be an illegal construction. It was reported that the actor had forged documents to build the villa and violated coastal regulation norms for building the house at Alibaug.
Earlier, actress Esha Gupta was also in news for being trolled on social media. It so happened that Esha posted a topless selfie of herself, which did not go down well with her fans and followers who started harassing her on the public platform.
Actor Varun Dhawan was recently sent an e-challan by the Mumbai police, as he was caught on a wrong foot while travelling on the roads of the city. The actor was seen clicking a selfie with a woman in an auto while he was being driven in his car. The actor popped his head out of the window, and the woman also leaned towards him from the auto to get a picture clicked. Mumbai Police had tweeted, “.@Varun_dvn These adventures surely work on D silver screen but certainly not on the roads of Mumbai! U have risked ur life,ur admirer’s & few others. V expect better from a responsible Mumbaikar & youth icon like U! An E-Challan is on d way 2 ur home. Next time, V will B harsher.” However, the actor apologised on Twitter and explained that the cars had stopped in the traffic.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s book was quite in news for the content it contained. His ‘Miss Lovely’ co-actor Niharika Singh had said that Nawaz published about his affair with her, without her consent. Another ex-lover of Nawaz had accused him of the same, and the actor had to finally withdraw his book. Niharika had said, “Nawaz and I had a brief relationship in 2009 during the making of ‘Miss Lovely’ that lasted less than a few months. So today, when he paints me as a woman in fur enticing him into her bedroom with candles, or desperately calling him and mailing other women on his behalf, I can only laugh.”

Comedienne Mallika Dua’s father and journalist Vinod Dua had slammed actor Akshay Kumar for making a vulgar remark at his daughter. “I am going to screw this cretin Akshay Kumar for telling his co-worker Mallika Dua that ‘Aap bell bajao, main aap ko bajata hun’ (You ring the bell, I will bang you)… This is his sense of humour and language… Star Plus… Wake up,” Vinod wrote on Facebook. He posted alongside it a clip from the shoot of popular comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, in which Akshay made the remark. Later Akshay’s wife Twinkle Khanna jumped in the conversation to defend her husband.
Recently, Gauhara Khan lashed out at Hina Khan for comparing her fan following on Twitter with the formers. In a video that had gone viral over the internet, Hina was seen saying that Gauahar barely has 6 to 7 lakh followers on Twitter, which is not even half as compared to hers. After watching the video, Gauahar wrote on Twitter that something is wrong with Hina Khan’s Math and that she has not done the calculations properly. While Hina has a following of 126k, Gauahar enjoys 2.18mn followers. Gauahar wrote, “Acchaii aur tameez toh seekhi nahi, math karna seekha hota toh aaj jhoote ghamand me aake kahi gayi baat pe log itna haste nahi..Lol!!! Allah sabko tarakki de…. Ameen!!
