‘Udta Punjab’ turns 9: Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt revisit their gritty journey
The film dove headfirst into the gritty, often uncomfortable realities of substance abuse among the youth in Punjab. However, 'Udta Punjab' wasn’t without controversy.
The much awaited teaser of Shahid Kapoor-starrer Kabir Singh is out. The Kabir Singh teaser shows an intense and angry doctor, Shahid, who is snorting cocaine, and drinking from his storage tank, abusing and getting romantic with Kiara Advani.
Kapoor shared the teaser on his Twitter account and posted: “I’m not a rebel without a cause. this is ME! #kabirsingh”

The teaser has set the tone for the film which is expected to have not just great performances, but also a great story line following Arjun Reddy, the Telugu hit by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
Kabir Singh will revolve around the story of an alcoholic surgeon who goes on the path of self-destruction after his ex marries someone else.
It’s Vanga who is directing the remake too. Kabir Singh will hit the screens on June 21, 2019.
