The film, a remake of the 2013 Malayalam hit Mumbai Police, offers edge-of-the-seat drama, stylish action sequences, and a complex character arc for Shahid’s role.
The new poster for Shahid Kapoor and Kiara advani starrer Kabir Singh is out. A montage of glimpses from the film in black and white features in the background of the poster setting the serious dramatic tone of the film.
On the front, Shahid is seen in a black shirt with untamed hair and beard wearing shades with a lighted cigarette in his left hand. Kabir Singh has created frenzy among Shahid fans who have been eagerly waiting for the actor’s new look which was introduced in the short teaser released some time ago.

Sandeep Vanga has written and directed Kabir Singh, a remake of his own super hit Telugu film Arjun Reddy (2017). The film revolves around the story of an alcoholic surgeon who goes on the path of self-destruction after his ex marries someone else.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the film’s trailer release date news along with the poster on his official Twitter handle.
Kiara Advani and Shahid Kapoor were earlier seen together in a remix- cover of the classic-hit song, Urvasi, that broke the internet last year on its release. While many fans of the AR Rahman’s song did not appreciate the cover, all were excited to see the chemistry sizzle between Shahid and Kiara, both of whom with their dance moves took the song to another level.
Audience has since then been waiting for the duo to come together on screen for a film. Kiara plays a character called Preet who happens to be Kabir’s love interest. Both play poles apart characters in the film, as was established with the short teaser that the makers released last month.
Kabir Singh will release on 21 June 2019.
