John Abraham starrer Satyameva Jayate is returning with its second installment.
John announced the news on his official social media account. He wrote on Twitter, “#SatyamevaJayate2 releasing 2nd October 2020!.”

The film will be helmed by Milan Milap Zaveri, who also directed the first installment of the film in 2018.

Divya Khosla Kumar will play the female lead in Satyameva Jayate 2.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the film’s release and sequel announcement on social media.
He wrote, “IT’S OFFICIAL… John Abraham and Divya Khosla Kumar in #SatyamevaJayate2… Directed by Milap Milan Zaveri… Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani… 2 Oct 2020 release.”
Bhushan Kumar of T-Series also announced the sequel on his official Twitter handle.
Satyameva Jayate( 2018) is a vigilante action film that had Manoj Bajpayee and John Abraham in the lead and revolved around an honest officer(John) who is called to hunt down a vigilante after the latter kills a number of police officers.
The film opened on 15 August on about 2500 screens and received a mixed response from critics. Despite that, it had the highest opening day collection for an A-rated film and did good business at the box-office.
