These gifts came in response to Kulsum’s heartwarming essay on her inspiration, JK Rowling. On 26 April, Kulsum’s teacher posted a picture of her essay where she expressed her admiration for Rowling. The essay read: “I am not inspired by JK Rowling only because she writes well but also because she has faced many difficulties but didn’t give up.”
Sabbah Haji then retweeted it and Rowling happened to reply to the post. The author also expressed her desire to send her something and now she did.

Kulsum, who wants to be a poet or a writer someday, said JK Rowling was her inspiration. “(Rowling’s) books make me happy. Whenever something makes me upset, I immerse myself in the wizarding world and it always makes me feel better, reading about her life gave me confidence that whenever we are in trouble, we can get up and be better again, just like she did in her life,” she told the Indian Express.
