Celebrate Teachers' Day with a look at five iconic Bollywood performances that beautifully capture the essence of educators on screen.
Oye hichki, a track composed by Jasleen Royal for the Rani Mukerji-starrer Hichki, released on Tuesday.
Album of the entire movie, composed by Jasleen, is sung by singer Harshdeep Kaur.
“In this song ‘Oye hichki’, we have used utensils, tubs, spoons because that’s the sonic space of the film for that particular sequence. The album is the entire journey of Naina (Rani) in the film and exploring the world of ‘Hichki’ was a lot of fun,” Jasleen, also a singer, said in a statement.

“It was challenging and interesting to compose the music for the entire film with producer Maneesh Sharma being extremely patient. Harshdeep Kaur has also done full justice to the song,” she added.
Jasleen, who shot to fame with the song “Preet” for the film “Khoobsurat”, has also composed songs for movies such as “Baar Baar Dekho”, “Shivaay” and “Haraamkhor”.
The movie and the song address prevalent societal discriminations like preference for fair skin, partiality towards people with disabilities, women not having the right to make certain choices.
