Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to attend the 25th edition of the Jahan-e-Khusrau festival, a prominent international Sufi music celebration, on Friday, February 28, at Sunder Nursery in New Delhi.
The festival, popular for its soulful blend of music, poetry, and dance, marks a significant milestone this year as it completes 25 years since its inception.

Founded by filmmaker and artist Muzaffar Ali in 2001, Jahan-e-Khusrau has become a beacon of Sufi traditions, drawing artists and audiences from around the globe.

Ahead of the event, PM Modi expressed his excitement on social media, stating, “I will be attending Jahan-e-Khusrau at 7:30 PM tomorrow at Sunder Nursery in Delhi. This festival has played a commendable role in popularizing Sufi music and culture. I look forward to witnessing Nazr-e-Krishna during the program. My compliments to Muzaffar Ali Ji and the Rumi Foundation for their dedication to this art form.”
The festival pays homage to the legendary 13th-century poet and musician Amir Khusrau, whose works have left an indelible mark on Sufi traditions.
The event will feature performances by renowned artists from across the world.
In addition to the musical performances, PM Modi will explore the TEH Bazaar (The Exploration of the Handmade), a curated space showcasing traditional crafts under the One District-One Product initiative.
The bazaar will present artifacts from various regions, short films on handicrafts, and an array of handmade products, reflecting India’s rich artisanal heritage.
