After Bihar, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, now the state Haryana has announced that Super 30 to be tax-free.
The Haryana government on Thursday exempted the Hrithik Roshan-starrer Super 30 from the State Goods and Services Tax (GST) with immediate effect.
The official Twitter handle of Excise and Taxation Department, Govt. of Haryana shared the announcement. They wrote, “Government of Haryana has exempted the movie ‘Super 30’ from SGST. The Movie is based on the life of Patna-based mathematician @teacheranand, who prepares underprivileged students for entrance to IITs. #Super30 @mlkhattar @CaptAbhimanyu @iHrithik”.
The movie released on 12 July is still running successfully after crossing the bracket of 130 crores.
Anand Kumar, Patna-based mathematician on whose life the film is based upon, thanked Haryana’s Chief Minister for the gesture. He wrote on his official Twitter handle, “Many thanks to Haryana CM Hon’ble @mlkhattarfor announcing ‘Super 30’ film tax free in the state. The way you appreciated the film and honoured me, I shall ever be obliged for this.”
Earlier Anand had thanked Jammu & Kashmir Governor SP Malik for making the film tax-free in the state.
