Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30 has been made tax-free by the Bihar government. The film is based on the life of Anand Kumar, a Patna based mathematician, who teaches underprivileged children for free and help them crack the IIT-JEE exam through a Super 30 program.
Anand has been running the initiative for a few years now and has extraordinarily set the record of almost sending all 30 students, every year, to the elite institution of higher studies. The mathematician shared the news on social media about the tax free release of the film.
He wrote on Twitter, “Thanks a lot to CM Nitish Kumarji and Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modiji making ‘Super 30’ tax-free. It will help more and more people see the film @iHrithik @RelianceEnt @NGEMovies @Shibasishsarkar #super30.”
Hrithik who plays Anand in the film also wrote, “This is amazing Anand Sir…thank you CM Nitish Kumar and Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi for this.”
Earlier in an interview with ANI, Anand had revealed that he wanted the film to be made in time as he is suffering from brain tumour, further stating, ” You have no idea of life and death, so I wanted this biopic to be made while I am alive.”
Super 30 has already collected Rs. 50 crores at the box office in its opening weekend. Besides Hrithik, the film also starrs Pankaj Tripathi,Mrunal Thakur, Virendra Saxena and Aditya Shrivastava in key roles.
The film has been directed by Vikas Bahl and co-produced by Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Films. Super 30 released on 12 July.
