Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins have shared some revealing stills from their upcoming film, Wonder Woman 2, which is currently being referred to as WW 1984.

Wonder Woman 2 is based on the popular DC superhero Princess Diana or Wonder Woman, as we know her. The film will also feature Kristen Wiig in a villainous role and also brings back a dead Steve Trevor!

Yes, you read that right. Steve Trevor, played by actor Chris Pine who was apparently dead in the end of the first part, is all set to reprise his role and the love interest of Wonder Woman. Coming out of the blue, this is one of the biggest surprises for all the DC Comics fans.

Jenkins shared the image on her Instagram account and wrote: “Welcome to Wonder Woman 1984, Steve Trevor! #WW1984”

This revealing picture has raised all the brows and the hype is real as fans have started to make their own theories for a valid reason behind the resurrection of Trevor, and are sharing their views on social media. From the looks of it, we can safely say Jenkins is not leaving any stone unturned to deliver a success story in the DC universe after the terrible performance of Justice League, which was directed by Zack Snyder.

Gadot too shared an image from her social media handles. However, it has nothing to do with her on-screen love interest. We can’t decide much from the picture as Gadot can be seen intensely staring at a wall of televisions for some kind of message.

Another noticeable thing about the posts from both the actor and the director is the revelation of the film’s title. Gadot and Jenkins both have used #WonderWoman1984 in their posts. If this is an indication, then probably the film is being tentatively titled as Wonder Woman 1984.

The film also stars Pedro Pascal (Narcos fame) alongside Gadot, Wiig and Pine. Wonder Woman 2 is scheduled to release on November 1, 2019 after the release of Aquaman and Shazam.
