Kher, who is known as one of the finest actors of India, had no background in acting in his early days and is an outsider in the industry.

The actor’s journey was not an easy one. During his struggling days as actor Kher used to sleep on railway stations back in the day!

Way before FTII Kher was also the chairman of NSD (National School of Drama) and also held the CBFC’s chairperson’s post for a brief time.

Kher is considered as one of The Three Musketeers alongside Naseeruddin Shah and late actor Om Puri, with whom he also shares a close bond.

Talking about his accolades, Kher is the only actor in the history of Indian cinema to win the Filmfare award for nine consecutive years.
