Zoya Akhtar’s forthcoming film Gully Boy starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt set the stage on fire at the music launch of their film on Thursday. They performed to the songs from their film and were joined by rappers Divine, Naezy and others.
Dressed in a neon green tracksuit and a silver jacket, Ranveer Singh took the stage by storm with his high-on-energy performance, which sent the people into a tizzy. Alia looked gorgeous in a shiny green tassel dress from Giuseppe di Morabito’s collection.
Before the music launch, two songs from the film had been released as music videos. And now, the complete ‘jukebox’ of 18 songs was released in conjunction with the concert. The album has songs titled Sher Aaya Sher, Azadi and Kaam Bhaari, and snippets from each were performed at the event.

The music launch was hosted by Kubra Sait and the event progressed with Beat Boxing and Rap music being performed by various artistes such as Kaam Bhari, Siddhant Chaturvedi, D-Cypher, Dub Sharma, D’Evil, MC Altaf, Rahul Rahi, Nexus, Spitfire, Ace, Beatraw, MC Todphod, Maharya, 100RBH, Noxious D, and Dee MC.
The energetic Ranveer Singh joined in on multiple occasions even as he lent the center stage to these Rap artists including Naezy the Baa, Divine and others.

The film is a story inspired by slum rappers of Dharavi. Ranveer Singh is playing the role of a street rapper. Ranveer and Alia will share the screen for the first time. Apart from Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, the film also features Kalki Koechlin.
Gully Boy is directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Excel Entertainment’s Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. The film is scheduled to be released on 14 February 2019.
