This August be prepared for the jump scares and petrifying sights. Netflix has dropped the trailer of the first Indian horror series and it stars Radhika Apte and Manav Kaul. To be aired in 190 countries, the new series titled Ghoul will have three episodes.
Ghoul is defined as an evil spirit or phantom, derived from an Arabic term ‘ġūl‘ which means a desert demon believed to rob graves and devour corpses. The title hints at a paranormal journey and spine-chilling moments.

The 1 minute 40 seconds trailer itself is enough to intrigue and scare you at the same time. As the trailer begins, a prisoner could be seen arriving at a remote military facility, where Radhika as a dedicated soldier starts interrogating him. The man then begins to blurt out words which are beyond the understanding of the interrogators. Eventually, he turns the table on Radhika and stuns her by exposing her secrets. Later, the trailer continues with a few blink and miss sights of the whole story and ends by revealing the demonic face of the prisoner.

Ghoul has been produced in partnership with Anil Ambani-led Reliance Entertainment’s Phantom Films, Ivanhoe and Blumhouse.
