Actor Manoj Bajpayee unveiled the first look of his forthcoming film Gali Guleiyan on Thursday. The 49-year-old actor was awarded the Best Actor Award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) in 2018 for the same film.

On Thursday, the Satya actor took to his Twitter account and shared the poster of the film.”Presenting the first poster of my highly acclaimed film Gali Guleiyan releasing September 7. This gem of a film is far bigger in content and excellence in all departments. Please spread the word. It matters,” the tweet read.

Donning an intense and confused look on his face, Manoj could be seen standing alone in the poster. The first look suggests that film will be different and will have a strong storyline. The actor is portraying the role of a man trapped within the walls and alleys of old Delhi and his own mind in the film.
Previously, in an interview with Indian Express, commenting on his role, Manoj said, “Gali Guleiyan is the toughest role I have done in my entire career. You are talking about a trapped mind, whose brain is going in thousand directions at a given time. So, it tests your skill, challenges your craft, everything you’ve done all these years. It is not an easy character. It took a toll on me.”

Speaking of the concept of the film, he said, “What attracted me to ‘Gali Guleiyan’ was the content, which looks at the other ‘claustrophobic’ side of the colourful picture that several movies have manifested of old Delhi in the past,” quotes IANS.
Directed by Dipesh Jain, the film also features actors Ranvir Shorey, Neeraj Kabi, and Shahana Goswami.
