“What fans saw in ‘Fukrey’ will be 10 times more in ‘Fukrey Returns’. The madness, chaos and humour — fans can expect it to be 10 times hilarious and chaotic than ‘Fukrey’. There is the gang, Pandit Ji and Bholi Ji, who is back like a wounded Tigress to torture us. Last time I sold my dad’s shop in the film, this time I’m saving my eyes from Bholi ji.”
“Then there is Dejachu and everything the fans will see will surely entertain them. We all have worked earlier in the past and I personally credit our equation and bonding for justifying the character even more,” Manjot adds.
The Oye Lucky Lucky Oye actor thanks the makers of the film for creating a comfortable working environment for the cast.
“Excel Entertainment pampered us a lot on the sets. Everything was made available on the sets. There was excitement among all of us to meet, act and hangout during the shoot of the film,” Manjot says.
According to his co-stars, Manjot is the most natural actor among all of them and they find it sometimes hard to shoot a scene with him as he’s that good.
“It’s sweet of them to say that, But the feeling is vice-versa as all of them are great actors. But I believe to play a variety of roles helps you in your career and your acting skills. I’m fortunate that I had worked in different genres of film and with every film I improvised,” Manjot says.
When asked what has changed in his personal life, the actor jokingly says that his popularity among the girls has increased.
“When I was not an actor, everyday was normal. After I became an actor, I got quite popular (laughs). Now, my call log is full of missed calls from my female fans! Jokes apart, nothing like this happens. It’s still the same for me, of course popularity comes along but that hasn’t got into my head,” Manjot concludes.
On the work front, Manjot will be seen reprising his role as Lali in Fukrey Returns that is scheduled to release this Friday.
