The show’s format has been criticised by a majority of fans as they believe that the ‘play and win’ segment of the show is unnecessary and a waste of time. The ‘play and win’ segment focuses on families from different parts of the world indulging in fun games to win prizes. But it has not worked, it seems.
There was a time when Kapil ruled the TV industry with his shows like Comedy Nights with Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show with his ensemble star cast comprising Sunil Grover, Ali Asgar and Sumona Chakarvarti. One of the reasons why Family Time with Kapil Sharma has failed to shine is because of its lack of stellar cast. Fans have urged Grover and Asgar to return to the show as they were the two of the most popular actors of the previous shows. But according to numerous reports, both of the actors don’t want to be a part of the show for personal reasons.
Not long ago, he ‘was’ considered one of the most admired celebs of the entrtainment industry. Now, he’s just an artiste, who’s in the news for creating controversies. Even if Kapil and Grover may have buried the hatchet between them, some fans still can’t forgive Kapil for his behaviour with Grover. Also, Kapil has a history of cancelling shoots just moments before the actual broadcast. With his recent show, the comedian-cum-actor is again on the same road that many has advised him to be careful of. Kapil cancelled the promotional episode of Baaghi 2 for health reasons and Hichki‘s promotional episode for some ‘technical difficulties’.
