Actor Chris Gauthier, a 48-year-old Canadian native best known for his role in “Once Upon a Time,” passed away of a short illness. He was born in England. The actor leaves behind his wife and kids.

Gauthier played the role of Smee in the TV show “Once Upon a Time.”

A Series of Unfortunate Events, Harper’s Island, Sanctuary, Legends of Tomorrow, Charmed, and Joe Pickett are among Gauthier’s other TV credits.

Actor Gauthier has performed in more than 100 genre-spanning productions, including episodes of Smallville, Dead Like Me, Kyle XY, and Supernatural. In the short-lived series ‘Harper’s Island’, he portrayed a groomsman and party boy, Malcolm Ross.
