Ed Sheeran, the British singer-songwriter known for his chart-topping hits, captivated his fans with a fiery performance at his Gurugram concert, part of his ‘+ – = ÷ ×’ India tour. What truly stole the spotlight was surprise tribute of Ed Sheeran to Indian cricket—sporting official jersey of Team India on stage.
The concert saw Sheeran deliver a dynamic setlist with fan favorites like ‘Shivers’, ‘Photograph’, ‘Happier’, and ‘Perfect’. He also performed ‘Love Yourself’, a song he co-wrote for Justin Bieber, and treated the audience to a mashup of ‘Take It Back’, ‘Superstition’, and ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’.

Before Sheeran took the stage, singer Lisa Mishra warmed up the audience with soulful renditions of ‘Mujhe Tum Nazar Se’, ‘Kabira’, and ‘Sajna Ve’.

This event in Gurugram was another highlight of Sheeran’s India tour, which had already seen electrifying performances in Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Shillong. Organized by AEG Presents Asia and BookMyShow Live, the concert was a grand celebration of music and culture.
Reflecting on his time in India, Sheeran shared, “The last three weeks in India have been magical. I’ve learned so much. Thank you for the love—hope to be back soon!”

One of the standout moments came during his Bengaluru show, where Sheeran wowed the audience by singing ‘Chuttamalle’, a Telugu song from Jr NTR’s upcoming film ‘Devara’. The performance quickly went viral, with Jr NTR sharing a clip on Instagram, praising Sheeran for transcending language barriers.
Actress Janhvi Kapoor also celebrated the moment by resharing the post, and the original singer of the song, Shilpa Rao, joined Sheeran on stage to make the performance even more memorable.
In another special moment, Sheeran joined legendary composer A.R. Rahman on stage at his Chennai concert, where they performed a special rendition of ‘Urvashi’.
Sheeran had also visited Rahman’s studio before the show, where he met the composer and his son, A.R. Ameen. Rahman later shared candid pictures from their meeting, captioned, “Photos by Ed Sheeran.”
