After taking the global stage by storm with his chart-topping hits, Diljit Dosanjh is ready for the Indian leg of the ‘Dil-luminati’ tour. Set to kick off on November 26 in Delhi, the general sale of tickets went live today. If you thought the presale buzz was wild, the general sale trumps it, with tickets selling out within 2 minutes!

With tickets flying off the shelves in a matter of minutes, the Delhi concert had only two ticket categories available. This included Gold (Phase 3), priced at ₹12,999, and Fan Pit, starting at ₹19,999. Both categories sold out almost instantly after going live. Across other venues of the tour, the most economical general sale ticket was for Hyderabad’s Silver (Phase 1) section, starting at ₹3,299. On the other hand, the highest ticket prices soared to ₹19,999 for the Fan Pit in Delhi.

Janamjai Sehgal, Business Head of Saregama India Ltd. and organizer of Diljit Dosanjh’s concert, revealed the details in a conversation with NDTV. “We’ve already sold 1.5 lakh tickets. We are bound by venue limitations, and while there is enormous demand, due to the rules, regulations, and venue capacities, we’re expecting around 2 lakh people across 10 venues. This level of response has never happened in India before, not even for international artists. On the first day of presale, 8-10,000 transactions were made in a single minute. We sold 1 lakh tickets within 15 minutes. People are going to be surprised by the Delhi show—we’re doing one of the biggest setups that people in India have ever seen.”

Moreover, fans of the ‘Lover’ hitmaker have taken to social media to express their reactions to the craze. One user commented, “Insane craze for Diljit Dosanjh’s concert. Tickets sold out in a minute for Dil-Luminati. Cricket World Cup ke din yaad aa gaye (reminds me of the craze for the World Cup).” Meanwhile, another fan wrote, “Sold out (Dil-Luminati tickets) are you kidding me? Bas bina black ke Diljit ka tour dekhna tha bhagwan (I just wanted to watch Diljit perform without having to buy a ticket in black)…” Several fans echoed sentiments along the lines that the sale ended as soon as it started.

The presale also witnessed tickets selling like wildfire. Within 15 minutes, 100,000 tickets for the tour were sold.

DiljitDosanjh’s ‘Dil-Luminati’ tour has already emerged as a roaring success globally. With performances in the US, Canada, and Europe, his concerts have attracted thousands of fans. Meanwhile, he tour will first take the stage at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on October 26. From the capital, the tour will travel to several cities around the country, including Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, Indore, Chandigarh, and Guwahati.
