Singer-turned-actor Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra’s much-awaited movie “Chamkila” gets the release date and the film’s first poster was released on Monday.

One of Chamkila’s most well-known songs was “Pehla Lalkaare Naal.”. Often called the “Elvis Presley of Punjab,” Chamkila drew inspiration for his songs from village life, specifically from aspects like coming of age, drugs, drinking, and extramarital affairs.

Chopra also stars as Amarjot, the well-known Punjabi musician’s wife, in this movie.

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, “Chamkila” will hit theaters on April 12. The video was posted on Netflix with the caption, “Maahaul bann jaata tha jo vo chedta tha saaz, kuch aisa hi tha Chamkila ka Andaaz.” (The atmosphere he created would become a musical instrument, such was Chamkila’s style.)

Mohit Chaudhary, Window Seats Films, and Select Media Holdings LLP are producing the movie, and Allah Rakha Rehman is composing the soundtrack.

This movie can be accessible on Netflix.

For the first time, Dosanjh appears on the poster without a turban, sporting a 90s style as he enters with an ektara and greets the crowd.
