There have also been rumours suggesting that Akshay Kumar might star as Sindhu’s coach Pullela Gopichand while many have also suggested that Sood, himself will play the part of coach when the film is expected to begin rolling at the end of 2019.
On the other hand, a biopic on fellow badminton star Saina Nehwal is under development and Parineeti Chopra is leading the project. While Shradhha Kapoor was earlier part of it, Chopra was signed on later.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone will soon be seen in Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak alongside Vikrant Massey. The film is scheduled to release on 1 January 2020.
