Karan Singh Grover is currently busy shooting for his web series, BOSS-Baap of Special Services, in Shimla alongside Sagarika Ghatge.

The actor is excited about his first web series in which he is essaying a kind of role he has not done before. Karan Singh Grover will play a mysterious con artist operating in the northern belt of India who crosses path with a cop under unusual circumstances. The officer, ACP Sakshi Rawat, will be played by Sagarika Ghatge.

Sharing his experience, Grover said comedy was a difficult genre. “I love doing comedy on screen but action is a part of my image which I can’t change. I remember doing many comedy scenes in Dill Mill Gayye and it is considered a tough genre. But as I am a sardar, I think I am born with good comic timing.”

Interestingly, Karan Singh Grover made his TV debut with Ekta Kapoor’s show Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi and will now be doing his digital debut with ALTBalaji, a VOD platform owned by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms Ltd.

Talking about his return to small screen, he said, “It is not like I stopped thinking about TV. It is just that you want a good finite story which doesn’t kill the creativity of the performers and everyone associated with the film. It gets a bit draining after a long time on a TV show. There is only so much quality that one can give.”

ALTBalaji has collaborated with Ankush Bhatt and Ashish Kapoor under their banner Filmy Paltan to produce the show.

Karan Singh Grover had earlier worked in Ankush Bhatt’s directorial 3 Dev last year.
